Located in the beautiful Wallkill Valley in Orange County, NY, and just 65 miles north of New York City, the Village and the surrounding area has become home to many new residents. We have seen our village grow over the past two years – but not only in population. The Village has taken on an aggressive revitalization program that will add many wonderful amenities – enhancing both the quality of life of our citizens and bolstering the viability of the Village’s business ventures, old and new.  Here are some large projects that we have completed or are designing: Reconstruction of Main Street – The reconstruction of Main Street from Bank Street to the Bridge over the Wallkill is now complete. Similar improvements to Main Street from Bank Street to Maple Street are slated for the spring of 2006. Capital Improvement Program – The Village is continuing its commitment to this vital program. The CIP concentrates on the reconstruction of residential streetscapes and essential equipment replacement. This includes final exploration for a new source of ground water production that will ensure the water needs for future generations. In addition, significant reconstruction projects are taking place in our wastewater collection system, again, to ensure that this vital system is at its best for future generations.
